June 2020 update regarding The American Legion Department of Ohio

On Tuesday, May 26, 2020 the American Legion Post 151 opened the doors to our members. Since that date, a big change has happened to our operation of the social room. We now use the back hall area to allow for social distancing. Proper PPE is in place to allow our members assurance that we are in accordance to all policies set forth with Governor Mike Dewines directives. We started our food nights to now include Mon. & Wed. “Wings” and Thursday “Pizza & Stromboli” from the hours of 5 – 8 pm or until gone.

  1. American Legion Baseball has returned for a short time. Our Team will be hosting a tournament at the end of the month. Check the Bruisers web site for further updates.
  2. Friday drawings will start on Friday, June 19, 2020. Envelopes will be available in the new social room area.
  3. Queen of Hearts drawing will start on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Tickets will once again be available on Monday, June 22. 2020. Note: Social distancing policies are still in effect during these drawings. No members can be standing. Masks to be worn when entering the post. The front social room will be open to allow for members to be present during the Queen drawings.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding during this time. The Post is waiting patiently for any new directives from the Governor of the State of Ohio.

Hopefully this finds each and everyone safe and healthy.

Respectfully,

Larry Latva, Commander
